Short-Term Medical

                                    

Short-term health plans, covering predetermined time periods, offer temporary insurance to individuals who would otherwise go uninsured. Covering a limited period of time, these plans can be an ideal solution for those between jobs or waiting for other health insurance to begin, college grads coming off their parents' health plans or early retirees waiting for Medicare eligibility. Typically, short-term plans offer coverage up to six months, although some plans may range up to 11 months. Coverage is available for longer periods in the form of our renewable individual and family health insurance plans.

NHIC's short-term medical policies offer:
  • Help paying deductibles, copays and other medical expenses not covered by major medical plans
  • Medical benefits regardless of other existing coverage
  • Rapid reimbursement for a wide variety of medical expens
